Beginnings of "The 'Force!"

Nightforce International Productions is a Freelance Operation run by Rod Barnes, a Writer/Director/Producer who has been in the entertainment industry for over 17 years. He is a Graduate of Hofstra University (BA in Communication Arts-Broadcasting), a (now former) Masters Candidate at Syracuse University and has worked at various companies in the industry including New Line Cinema, Global Village Video Center, The Producers Club,Riverside Church Theatre, New Day Repetory Theatre etc. He has worked on Stage as an Actor (Last Night at College, Invasion, Tales of The Black Veil, The Gotham Chronicle, Tales 2, Tales 4,Ongoing commercial, bumpers for AMC)  Lighting/Sound Designer (various, including Pluto Squared, Tall Taxi Tales) , Technical Director(Dust Tracks, various) , Stage Manager(Man for All Seasons) , Fight Choreographer and Accomplished Playwright (The Last Night at College, The Gotham Chronicle, The Last Man Standing). Mr. Barnes has also worked in Film as a Sound Technician, Production Associate, Actor and Technical Consultant. In Television and Video, he has been a Production Associate, Director (The First Time, Tales of the Black Veil, The Last Night at College, Evening of One Acts, The Gotham Chronicle, etc),Writer/Researcher, Camerman, Sound/Lighting Tech, Production Assistant among other things.



Currently working on various projects, Mr Barnes has been recently working in Theatre, doing Technical Directing and Consulting for Productions like Antigone, For Colored Girls...,Man For All Seasons (for New Day Repertory Group),Henry and Becky(for Poitier Productions), Five One Acts, New York in Black and White(For the Italian-American Actors Ensemble),One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, Tall Taxi Tales, My Sin, My Soul, My Showcase and his own works (Nice Guys,The Last Night at College, Tales of the Black Veil, The Gotham Chronicle). He also does AudioVisual work for various Corporate entities such as Merrill Lynch, CIBC, USB, Piper-Jaffray, Smith Barney, Unilever, TV GUIDE, Presentation Services, King Cole AV, Projection Video, Proactiv Technologies, CAVS, Millenium Broadway Hotel, FBR ,Etc.  Mr Barnes is currently working on the Sixth version of Tales of the Black Veil and a new comedy showcase, LAST MAN STANDING is now undergoing a revival in 2008.  Other upcoming projects include some work with Mr John Bardy of  DEVELOPMENT HELL PRODUCTIONS , some more Off-Broadway projects and his very first fanfilm- yes, it's gonna be a vampire-related fanfilm (hint: Forever Knight) and a few film festival projects with his longtime partner from College, Pat SP Fitzgerald.
